In the hunt for happiness... aday weekend so that we needn't rush and we can calm.... we load the kayaks for the car (and your chocolate lab assuming you have one) and away we visit pt reyes... on the manner we play tapes of NPR's delaware home companion, take turns generating, reading to each other... a powerful armchair traveler book... some nuts tunes to relax and sing out to...short hours down the road, we smell the salt oxygen and roll down the your windows program, breath deeply, again and once... ridding ourselves of the pit air! we frequent the neighborhood deli, dine on sandwiches/salads or even some such and toss spine a microbrew or-- Ruff relishes frisbee! --we load the camping gear and food inside the kayaks, "suit" up the Ruff for his life jacket... away we go -- on the bay to our campsite -- you laugh with abandon and glee as we leave city life behind us all... once we hit land, we pitch our tent plus zip our sleeping bags together and start for a walk, hand in handcollect some firewood and mpt cooking our dinner, sipping a number of wine... Ruff has never been so happy and were grinning ear to ear toocontent with this dinner, we clean up and also take another walk to understand, it is dusk now and soon the stars are going to be out -- of course, we picked even a full moon weekend... returning to our campsite we sit through fire and read just a bit of poetry, express our gratitudes, share some dreams and some more sips of wine... you admire the stars, clean up and tuck in in concert...
